The Carrizo/Comecrudo Tribe of Texas and Allies Directly Confront Trump’s Border Wall
Tribe Announces Solidarity Benefit Concert, Call for Artists

WHERE: Yerberia Cultura – 613 S. 17th St., McAllen, Tx. 78501
WHEN: Saturday, March 2, 2019 and Sunday, March 3, 2019
TIMES: Noon – 9pm – Final Line up TBA
WHY: We, the Carrizo/Comecrudo Tribe of Texas, will be hosting a benefit show to raise awareness of the dangers of Trump’s border wall construction. This portion is fully funded and construction has already begun. Construction will be disrupting a levy that that could lead to potential massive flooding, as well as puts sacred sites and tribal villages at risk. We are seeking artists (such as musicians and comedians) willing to come and perform.

Desecration of the Eli Jackson Graveyard, where the wall is proposed to go through, will disrupt relatives, Texas Rangers, and U.S. Veterans that deserve to be left alone if construction continues. The risk to the gravesites remains, regardless of what the impact the construction on the levy could potentially cause.

“This is an attack on the sacred. Desecration of burial sites and disrupting human remains for the personal project of a politician is unacceptable.” Says tribal Chairman Juan B. Mancias.

Our humanity and the political integrity of the United States is at stake beyond the threat to sacred plant medicines, sacred land sites and sacred lives of humans and other living relatives who cannot speak on their own behalf that Trump’s destructive border wall poses.
