Aug 6, 2014 - Ted Nugent Protest Planned at Sturgis (WEDNESDAY, Aug 6, 2014, 6pm MST)

Rally and Protest Aug.6 at 6pm MST outside Full Throttle during largest Biker Rally in the World

Ted Nugent is a confirmed bigot who refuses or does not have the capacity to evolve. Either way we pray for him, and if he met Natives of a certain persuasion, in a dark alley, after his Aug.6 performance at Full Throttle (Sturgis Biker Rally), they’d handle him and then pray for him. The next best thing, or more righteous thing, we can do to civilly condemn the outdated attitudes that Nugent espouses is hold a public rally to protest and inform the public narrative. Nugent recently lashed out at Native Americans because a Tribal Casino cancelled his concert because of his public hate of non-white peoples. Nugent responded to this cancellation, according to RAW STORY, by saying:

“I take it as a badge of honor that such unclean vermin are upset by me and my positive energy,” Nugent told Gannett Wisconsin Mediaon Tuesday. Put your heart and soul into everything you do and nobody can stop you. Sometimes you give the world the best you got and you get kicked in the teeth. Give the world the best you got anyway.”

“By all indicators, I don’t think they [Native Americans] actually qualify as people, but there has always been a lunatic fringe of hateful, rotten, dishonest people that hate happy, successful people,” he continued.       

Additionally, according to somosindependents.ccom, the Full Throttle facebook page has reportedly been “Banning Native Americans” from its page for condemning Nugent and Full Throttle alike for deciding to go through with the concert. In either case Native People and their Allies of all walks are invited to gather in a peaceful rally to let all know Ted Nugent’s bigotry has no place in our shared worlds. Rally goers of all walks will convene at the Rosebud Lodge (NorthWest side of Bear Butte off Highway 79: 13029 Coyote Place, Whitewood, SD 57793) at approximately 5pm MST (Come Early as Traffic is horrible) then leave at 6pm MST Approximatley.
