Nov 23, 2013 - TransCanada Representatives Thrown out of Lakota Territory

On November 13th 2013, representatives of the TransCanada corporation were thrown out of Lakota territory. The representatives were presenting on behalf of the KXL pipeline after having been invited in by members of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe. They were quickly, and forcefully, reminded that they, and the KXL pipeline are not welcome in the lands of the Lakota.
Video captured by the Lakota Media Project shows powerful Lakota women reminding TransCanada representatives and those who invited them in, that the Lakota remain united in opposition to the construction of the KXL pipeline and are willing to put their bodies on the line to stop it.
